alkitronic® – home of torque power. Torque multipliers for the perfect torque.
All our work is dedicated to satisfying our costumers. We fully understand the specific requirements and expectations of the many various industries. That is why we have so many domestic and international customers who use alkitronic® torque multipliers and wrenches to make their work faster, easier and safer.
alkitronic® offers electric, battery-powered, pneumatic, hydraulic and manual torque tools for controlled bolting applications in wind energy, shipbuilding, steel construction, heavy machinery, power generation, pipelines, oil and gas, and chemical plants.
What is a torque multiplier and when is it used?
A torque multiplier uses a mechanical gearbox to increase the applied torque. It is used when a bolted connection requires a higher and more controlled torque than can be applied efficiently with a conventional hand tool.
How accurate are alkitronic® torque tools?
Accuracy depends on the selected product series and model. The applicable torque accuracy or repeat shut-off accuracy is specified in the product datasheet and calibration documentation. Many alkitronic® models specify a maximum deviation or repeat shut-off accuracy of approximately ±3%, while some models provide different values.
What is the difference between electric and battery-powered torque multipliers?
Electric torque multipliers are powered from the mains and are suitable for repeated operation where electrical power is available. Battery-powered models provide greater mobility for field work and locations where a mains connection is not practical. The correct solution also depends on the required torque, duty cycle and available workspace.
Which industries use alkitronic® torque tools?
alkitronic® torque tools are used in wind energy, shipbuilding and ship repair, steel construction, heavy machinery, power generation, pipelines, oil and gas, chemical plants and other industrial bolting applications.
Are service and calibration options available?
Manufacturer service, inspection, calibration and repair options are available depending on the selected tool and service requirement. The procedure and delivery terms should be confirmed individually.
